Nominator's project description
| Yan V. Fyodorov is an expert in the field of electronic transport and statistics of disordered quantum systems at the micrometer and nanometer scale. In particular, he has made important contributions to the statistical modelling and analysis of chaotic scattering in open quantum systems. He is the co-winner of the 1999 Henri Poincare / Gauthier-Villars Prize in Theoretical Physics. As a Humboldt awardee, Fyodorov plans to apply techniques from random matrix theory to the investigation of the complexity of the random energy function in glassy-type models. |
